Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the best cabinet finish sheen — matte, satin, or semi-gloss?

+

Satin is our most recommended sheen for kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. It balances a soft luster with everyday durability, resisting fingerprints better than matte while avoiding the high reflectivity of semi-gloss. Matte works beautifully for contemporary designs, while semi-gloss is ideal for accent pieces and islands.

Can you match any paint color for custom cabinetry?

+

Yes. While our standard collection includes 10 curated Sherwin-Williams colors, we can match any color from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, or any other paint manufacturer. Bring a sample, swatch, or photo and we will create an exact match.

What wood species do you offer for stain-grade cabinets?

+

We offer five wood species: Beech, Maple, Alder, White Oak (rift & quartersawn), and Walnut. Each species accepts our seven curated stain finishes differently, revealing unique grain patterns and tonal variations. Walnut is offered exclusively in a natural clear-coat finish.

What is an eco finish and why do you use it?

+

Eco finish refers to our environmentally conscious coating technology. It delivers superior hardness and durability while emitting up to 80% fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than traditional solvent-based finishes. The result is a factory-quality finish that is better for indoor air quality and the environment.

Do cabinet finish colors look the same on screen as in person?

+

Screen representations are approximate. Monitor calibration, ambient lighting, and wood grain all affect how a finish appears. We strongly recommend viewing physical samples on your chosen wood species and in your actual space before making a final selection.
